Excellent card on 750w PSU
By Vance on Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2023
I play games and edit videos for YouTube. I wanted to upgrade my graphics card, but didn't want to overhaul my whole system as i have a 750w psu. Previously, i had a 3080. For those in similar situations as me, i find 750w is perfect. Keep in mind, you will need to get an extra cable if you are using an sfx 750w psu like i am. i use the corsair gen 5 12vhpwr 600w cable and have had no problems for a few months now. I pair this 4090 with a 5950x cpu. At 1440p, i get high framerates (130+) on graphic intensive games like ARK survival evolved. Additionally, my temps are low (45 degrees) which makes for a very quiet gpu. I have yet to fame at 4k, but the quiet noise paired with way higher fps already makes it worth it for me. No game has struggled whatsoever. The main usage for me is editing. As for video editing, i use davinci resolve and render times are unbelievably fast. I notice an increase in timeline performance. The price is high, but this is definitely not just a consumer level product. Keep in mind what your own uses will be.

Works for a little bit
By Patrice on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2024
Amazon mailed this item to me damaged. I used it as the return time had already passed by the time I received all components, opened it, and built my PC. A month after I built it, the GPU failed. It kept losing signal to my monitor and causing my nearly $6K PC to crash repeatedly despite all attempts to fix it. The manufacturer wouldn't honor the warranty as Amazon shipped it with multiple damages. I had to fight with nine separate individuals to get my money back. I'd told them I only wanted a replacement. Then came the email that apparently returning 3 items within the 14 yr lifespan of my account was "excessive returns" and my account was being noted. Then, when they finally processed the refund of my money they added a $350 restocking fee. They needed to restock a damaged piece of equipment?!? Seriously, I'm fed up with Amazon.
