The All-in-One iPad Keyboard Case That Eliminates the Need for Extra Cables
By gabriel carvani on Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2024
After several months of use, the Logitech Combo Touch for iPad has proven to be a solid, reliable, and versatile accessory. What sets it apart from other keyboard cases on the market is its seamless Smart Connector integration, which means no need for external charging cables. This feature makes it incredibly convenient, as it draws power directly from the iPad itself, eliminating the need to worry about charging a separate device. The case’s battery life doesn’t impact your iPad’s performance, and because it’s powered via the Smart Connector, you never need to worry about your keyboard running out of juice. One of the biggest advantages of the Combo Touch is the absence of Bluetooth connectivity requirements. Many competing products rely on Bluetooth, which requires pairing and charging. This can result in connectivity issues or the need for regular charging of the keyboard, adding extra hassle to an otherwise streamlined device. The Logitech Combo Touch is different; it’s a plug-and-play solution that lets you focus on work without worrying about interruptions from low battery warnings. In terms of versatility, this keyboard case allows you to shift between four different modes—Type, Sketch, View, and Read—making it perfect for a range of tasks. The detachable keyboard offers a high level of flexibility. Whether you’re writing emails, drawing with the Apple Pencil, or watching videos, the stand and keyboard detach easily to meet your needs. Plus, the backlit keys and precise trackpad give a laptop-like experience, ideal for extended use.The quality of materials in the Combo Touch is another key highlight. The soft-touch fabric feels premium to the touch, and the rugged construction offers good protection for your iPad. The aluminum keyboard feels sturdy and durable, ensuring the case will last. While it does add some weight to the iPad, it’s far less bulky than some alternatives, and the added functionality justifies the slight increase in weight. However, like any product, it’s not without its drawbacks. The combination of a keyboard and trackpad can make the case feel slightly heavier, especially when attached to larger iPad models. But given the benefits of an all-in-one solution—particularly the ability to avoid carrying extra accessories—this minor inconvenience is a small price to pay. If you’re looking for an accessory that simplifies your tablet experience, reduces the need for multiple devices, and enhances productivity, the Logitech Combo Touch is definitely worth considering.

Extremely Difficult to Remove the Keyboard
By Gem on Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2024
There are many good features about this Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard. I purchased it for my new iPad, (10th generation) tablet. It's nice looking and compact. It looks like it would do a good job protecting my iPad. I purchased this keyboard because of all the features, design and reviews. I wanted a backlit keyboard also, so I thought this would be an excellent choice, however, I was wrong. The backlight is pretty useless. It's not very bright and stays on for a very short time. I was constantly manually turning it on every few minutes, which is difficult in a dim lit room at night. The keys are the flat chicklet style keys. It would have been nice if they were a little more curved for typing, plus the keys aren't silent as advertised. There was only one piece of information or documentation in the box. It shows how to install the tablet to this keyboard case. There was a little information how to remove the Rugged Style keyboard, but not the Combo Touch keyboard. The Information seems to switch to the Rugged Folio instead of the Combo Touch, for some reason. There wasn't any information about the various function keys and how they work. This would be needed for someone new to Apple iPads. The documentation gave a website, however, again, it was for the Rugged Style keyboard. I also found the keyboard slippery on my desk. I decided to return the keyboard because there were too many things I didn't like about it. The good was cancelled out by the bad. It was a struggle to attach the iPad. It was even more difficult removing my iPad from the keyboard. This was absolutely the worst. I had to stop after a while because my hands were started to hurt. Also, I was fearful I'd break my tablet. I'm happy I bought the warranty for accidental breakage. I've purchased many keyboard cases over the years. This one was the ultimate WORSE. The price for this keyboard should include decent instructions for attaching and safely removing the tablet. Also better documentation for the function keys. Logitech ended up sending me a link to their support page. It showed only a section of questions and answers on their website, which was of little help. I'm extremely disappointed with this keyboard case. Since others had similar problems, I don't recommend.
