Best monitor I’ve ever owned.
By Danny Vasquez on Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2023
I’ve been a gamer for years, I’ve owned all types of monitors. VA, IPS and now OLED. And this one leaves the others in the dust by a thousand miles. Having an OLED monitor is an experience itself. Now let’s get to the review. At first I was regretting my purchase because of the brightness, I play on PS5 so the brightness for me was already getting me frustrated however I did not know the difference between HDR and SDR, after I turned HDR off in ps5 settings it was brighter and the colors were way better on gamer 1. Gamer 2 and Vivid modes make it brighter, but the whites look more bluish, so I highly recommend gamer 1. You will not regret playing games like GOW, RDR2 on this beauty. My room is pretty dark, I love gaming in the dark anyways so after turning HDR off it was game over. The brightness is no issue anymore. The blacks are pure blacks and every time there’s a black cutscene on my monitor the entire room goes black. The response on this thing is crazy as well, I cannot express how happy I am with this purchase. I was afraid my refurbished monitor was going to have issues but, it is brand new, no scratches at all, honestly this is a steal. I got it for $650 dollars. You can’t beat that! Also this has HDMI 2.1 so it’s compatible with PS5 and XBOX unlike other monitors, EHEM ASUS ROG SWIFT

Buyer beware!! Serials are removed! Three month warranty on a premium screen?!
By Matthew L. on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2024
I was enjoying this unit but not even a year later the unit started to flicker and fail. I saw that rectified or renewed items are supposed to still have their original warranty’s so I thought I was safe. WRONG, for these units the original serial numbers are removed. This voids the standard limited warranty!! Edit* from LGs warranty page "The servicer has the right to refuse a repair if the customer does not provide the bill of sale. The unit must have an LG “Model and Serial Tag” visible as the servicer will also take a picture of the serial tag for LG records. Unfortunately LG will not cover an LG product with a defaced or missing serial tag. Refurbished products or products from second hand shops (reseller) will not be covered under warranty. Consult the warranty document that was provided with your product at the time of purchase for full terms and conditions." Buyer beware! I’m stuck with an expensive weight.
