Best home Wi-Fi I’ve ever had

I have been truly amazed by my three unit, Orbi RBK763S system. Setup was super easy, I just turned off the Wi-Fi in my cable modem’s router and plugged in the Orbi - other than giving it a network name and password it configured itself and the two satellites auto connected. The main unit and each of the satellites are separated by about 50 feet each in a straight line as my home is very long and narrow as is my large yard, and I now have super fast Wi-Fi throughout the entire place. Even at the corners of my property I can pull over 200Mbps so the coverage is outstanding. I always pick a very secure password, which is a good thing because I’ve been in the neighbor’s yards surrounding mine and even inside their home I was still able to connect and get sufficient bandwidth to run a speed test. If you’re looking for easy, efficient setup and a signal that will blow the doors off, this is definitely the system for you. The app was easy to use; others have mentioned the negative aspect of having to pay for a subscription for parental controls or their special security app, but I don’t use either option so the basic app does more than what I need for setup and configuration. Definitely a great value for the money; I actually got this as an Amazon Renewed item, but having seen how powerful this is, I would not hesitate to pay full price if I needed another system in another location.

Very Disappointed. Upgrading from Another Orbi

I am very disappointed in this Orbi product. Returning... I had planned to upgrade from my Orbi RBR50, which functions fine, but has older WiFi. I have three satellites (needed at prior house), but only needed one satellite at this house. First, the setup through the app is hard, if not impossible for anyone wanting anything but the static configuration, 192.168.1.1 I had to call Tech Support. To access the configurtion page on a computer or browser, yo9u must use Incognito mode or whatever your browser calls it. Once setup, I had horrible results. I now needed two satellites. The latency on each WiFi attached device was long, but on speed testing, it didn't show as long latency, so not sure what the issue is otehr than it was definitey occurring. We suddenly got 504 Gateway errors and simple 'cannot reach site' errors. We'd never had those and I had to look it up. Clearing caches and history did not help. I had not reset my old RBR50, so after 2 days, I just switched back to my old router. Everything returned to normal.

Wi-Fi 6 works very well with all devices. No connection issues inside or outside my house. Speed is terrific. And I'm no longer paying a monthly fee to Spectrum for their router. Their old routers were great, but they are replacing all Wi-Fi 6 routers with 6e, and as you may find out, 6e routers don't cooperate well with all devices. 6e is one to skip - go directly to Wi-Fi 7 whenever you need to upgrade from 6.

Great mesh system with very good wifi range, coverage and speed, using with Starlink. setup is slightly slow and cumbersome because it's wanting to do updates. Once running app interface is fast and covers the basics, you can log on to web interface for full customization if needed.

Slowed down and then won’t sinc

Worked great for 3 weeks and very fast, then slowed to a crawl, next day wouldn’t sinc, then shut down. Cleared to factory settings and did new set up, worked great and fast, but within 4 days the problems started all over again. Returning to Amazon. Would have given it a rating of 1, but it was a refurbished unit. It was a fast system to start, And I loved it. So maybe a new unit would perform better in the long run. Back to using my old RBK53 system until I find something else.

My internet is supplied by Spectrum, which has been very unreliable since the beginning. My technician had me purchase these router’s and set them around home and property. Haven’t had a single problem since! Next I’m thinking of getting the Magic Mike for a landline service! Get rid of these money hungry service providers! Didn’t take any time for setup, and the signal strength is amazing!!
