It Does a Lot Better Than Using the XFI Router with the XFI Pods!!!!

I was skeptical at first. Buying stuff from Amazon is sometimes hard because you see the good reviews for a product but then wonder if there is something to the low ratings. Everything sold on Amazon has that. It makes you second guess a purchase until it finally gets to you and you see for yourself if you made a wise selection. That said, this router was an excellent surprise. It was very easy to set up and it is blazing fast. This router give you control back. Xfinity, for instance, will not let you configure their router's WIFI channels. You can only reboot them and hope they get you on a better channel. With the Reyee E5 I have lots of control. Some of it requires you to need basic networking knowledge to keep from mucking things up but it gives you total control over your network (makes sense since they started as a networking company for businesses). The most important point is that it will give you a very strong signal. If it doesn't work for you you need to know where to place it to make the signal optimal. Plus they have signal extenders that make it so you have no dead spots in your environment. With Xfinity equipment would drop every day multiple times. Thus far this is not doing that. I will buy Reyee products going forward.

Look elsewhere for a reliable router !!!!!

Router started out ok hince the reason I waited to do a review on this. I bought this router in April of 2025 and have had to reboot the router multiple times. I am always calling my internet provider to make sure service isn’t down and the last time they said they could see where the router is requesting “lease” but when they send it the router rejects it. It took playing with it for an hour and a half to get it to gimp around and work enough. Now after a small blink of power outage the router won’t work. Called my internet provider and they are good on their end. Tried calling Rayee for customer service, after trying to trouble shoot on my own and with Amazon’s trouble shooting suggestions, Customer service is only 9am to 5 pm M-F absolutely no help. My only option at this point, since I work from home and need a reliable router, is to purchase a new router and get it here before work tomorrow. Extremely disappointed that I wasted my hard earned money on this router. I do not recommend this router, unless you like shotty internet and like trouble shooting.
