Sound is amazing for gaming and chat, my voice also comes clear using the software (thx is free they just pretend it isn’t idk why. They can charge while you use them, actual ear shaped cups and good connectivity. Gaming performance and good cord length, comfortable. Pro tips: 1. Disable windows bs audio ‘help’ (Razer software will prompt you to do that) 2. To switch between the dongle and Bluetooth connectivity, double click the only button on the right side of the headset and/or the left side (power button) of the headset. Don’t ask me why it works and why it’s not in the instructions. Tis’ not ours to understand.

Huge issues with mic/speaker activation

This is a lengthy review but this is a really problematic headset to have to use daily. First, it's well-built as all Razer products have been all through time, and the materials should stand up to the test of time. The functionality, however, has become a daily obstacle course, jumping through hoops to get this thing working, and it is driving me insane. To start, I try to never, ever use the software associated with computer peripherals because they will all work without it. I have Razer keyboards and mice, all of those work without the Synapse software. I used another brand headset for a long time, also without its associated software, with no issues at all. The same applied to this headset, and I was able to plug in the wireless dongle, turn it on, and bam...it worked. No software, no hoops, it just worked. I don't know what happened last week, but this thing just decided it wasn't going to work anymore. The speakers worked, but the mic didn't. I plugged it into the USB cable and suddenly the mic worked...but the speakers didn't. I broke down and installed Synapse and now the connectivity is stuck in this perpetual cycle. It won't work without Synapse running, and if the headset is taken over by something like Zoom or Google Meetings, it will not let go of it and requires a PC reboot to get it working again. I don't understand why products simply "working" is a challenge in this day and age, but it's truly puzzling. I'm past the date for returns on this headset, so I'm likely going to simply go back to the *wired* version of this headset that had a really neat feature: IT WORKED.
