Linksys Velop Pro 7 Wi-Fi Mesh Router

Short version: Yes, I definitely recommend this router. The setup was nearly automatic, but with advanced configuration available. Note: the increased security protocols may affect older devices. Upgrading a router every few years is essential for the safety of your network and devices. Upgrading from a state-of-the-art (in 2016) router, I took the extra precaution of changing the network name (SSID) and password instead of keeping the SSID/password (from 8 years ago). This meant changing networks on every computer, tablet, smartphone, TV, Echo DOT, and home automation device. It is a fair amount of work, but increases the security of the network. It also uncovers hidden exposures. The router's default security is the current WPA2/WPA3, along with the ability to create up to 4 SSIDs (to segment user & network traffic) and much more. However, a 2012 (TV streaming device) I still used had trouble connecting. Finally, I discovered that with its security of only WPA/WPA2, plus earlier WEP & TKIP, it could not log onto the network, thus protecting my network from potential "old security feature" exposures. So yes, I definitely recommend this router, and suggest using the setup as a way to review your current devices and exposures.
