Perfect for my minimalist travel setup!

Compact and big at the same time, somehow, this keyboard lets me enjoy the comfort of full-size keys while still being portable enough to stuff in a sling bag. I had struggled mightily with finding a keyboard that worked well for me. I use a full-size keyboard at home and wanted that same comfort on the road, but didn't want to carry a bigger bag. I'm not exaggerating when I say I tried 5 other keyboards before this one, and this is the only one that checked all the boxes. Sure, there are plenty of folding Bluetooth keyboards out there, but they don't give you the option of using a 2.4ghz dongle or connecting with a cable, so if you need to access the BIOS of your computer or something else that doesn't have Bluetooth, you're stuck. This definitely checks all the boxes for me!

Interesting and unique keyboard, with some drawbacks that limit it's functionality

I got the version with brown switches, and I really like them. They have the right amount of stiffness, and I can manage not to bottom out (except for the spacebar) even if they have shorter travel with respect to the ones on my usual full-size mechanical keyboard (which has gathered brown switches). The thing I like the best is how flat the keyboard is. It's actually slightly concave. This means that while the top and bottom rows have the same height as the desk (about 25mm), the central row is a little lower (about 22 mm). Most keyboards are not flat at all, having instead an angle that makes the top rows taller than the bottom rows. This may be helpful if you look at the keys while typing, but it's definitely anti-ergonomic and completely unnecessary once you learn to touch-type. This very low profile is great for portability because I can comfortably type with my wrists resting on the desk without needing a wrist rest, as I do with my full-size mechanical keyboard. The Bluetooth connection works pretty well, and the battery life is decent for a small keyboard. Now for the not-so-good parts. The 65% layout is a PITA, at least on a Mac, if you are used to using function keys for things like adjusting the volume. They simply don't work. Maybe you could manage to map them going into the system settings, but with my other keyboard I didn't have to do it, it worked out of the box. Another problem is that some key combinations simply don't work. For example, I am used to using option+` before a vowel to make the corresponding accented vowel, but this combination simply does not work with this keyboard. I'm pretty confident this would not happen if they didn't have to cram ESC, ` and ~ on the same key. A minor annoyance is that even if a keycap remover is provided, no Mac keycaps are, so you are stuck with Win, instead of Cmd and Alt, instead of option. The fact that it is foldable is cool, but it doesn't help much with portability. It would have made more sense to be able to fold it through the short side if anything. Also in theme with portability, they provide a velvet bag you can put the keyboard in once folded. It quite snug, which makes it a bit difficult to put the keyboard inside of it, and it doesn't offer much protection, maybe just from dust. Would have have been much more useful to have a semirigid case, if anything. Finally, despite what's written in the description, there is no customization software for this keyboard on RK website (and BTW, the one for other models is only for Windows, so in my case, it wouldn't have been useful anyway). All in all, it's an interesting and pretty unique keyboard, with some drawbacks that limit it's functionality. If the folks at RK are listening, here's a suggestion: consider developing a 75% version of this keyboard that folds through the short side, and comes with Mac keycaps. Keep everything else the same. I can guarantee you, I'd be the first in line to purchase it!
