Best of the best. Even those who don't usually care for tech had nice things to say when I got it. Truly a game changer for gaming when it comes to gaming for both single and multiplayer games due to the great color and high refresh rate. I tried to test it out in store before purchase, and while I could tell the difference, it wasn't until I had one personally did I really see the drastic difference between my old 4k VA and this one. I would recommend adjusting the color a bit if you notice something's off. Supposedly these are not calibrated as nicely as the URX model and I personally had to drop the red a few points and it's all good - worth the savings in my opinion. I will also note that despite having VRR/G-sync off, I don't see any screen tearing - in case you're worrying about any potential vrr flicker. Display screen compression hasn't been noticeable as well.

As of today (12/27/24) it's been a disappointment (EDITED 1/5/25)

I installed this monitor on 12/22/24 and I'm writing this review on 12/27/24. Due to life changing things I'm no longer able to game as much as I used to so in those 5 days I probably have 5 hours or less of usage in this monitor. I have been having the issues seen and described in the video since 12/26/24. It started with some medium size artifacting every 10 seconds or so and it's gotten to the point where the monitor is unusable because the artifacting covers the whole screen and I lose image. Things I have done so far to try and fix the issue: 1) Gave the monitor a reset to its factory settings. No luck 2) Swapped the display port cable that I had for the one included with the monitor (my old one can be seen in the video hanging in the bottom of the monitor). No luck 3) Updated the monitor to the latest firmware. No luck I have only one thing to try and it's changing the display port cable again. To my surprise, I didn't know that Display Port 2.1 existed and that fiber optic DP cables existed. Doing research on this issue I found that out. So I had to end up ordering a Fiber Optic DP cable that costed me almost $30 for a 6.6Ft. Sadly I'm going to have to wait a very long time to get the cable since I live in Puerto Rico and Amazon has terrible service to Puerto Rico, even as a Prime member. Wait times of over 3 weeks to finally get my items In conclusion and short term review: Pros: • OLED is on another level! Image quality is outstanding! Its the most beautiful image I have seen in a screen. Incredibly accurate colors out of the box, the deepest blacks I've seen. Can imagine with some tuning it only getting better. The incredibly fast pixel response time gives you an image with pretty much no overshoot making it look blur free. It's something you have to try by yourself to truly appreciate and experience. • 27" is new to me. I've only had 24" monitors before this one so it's been nice to have a little bit bigger screen. • 1440p it's also new to me. Never before had I gamed at 2K res. The difference is so noticeable with the image quality and the sharpness • Aesthetically beautiful monitor. What can I say? The design makes the monitor look very modern but not too "gamery". It looks great • 360hz is also new to me and WOW! The smoothness of the image is incredible! Even in the desktop moving my cursor around I can notice a huge difference from a TN 240hz panel to this beast OLED 360hz monitor. Cons: • I think we all can agree that these issues I'm having are a deal breaker. Especially in the short amount of time I have had with this monitor and the short amount of usage. Only around 5 hours of use in 5+ days. • Updating the firmware is not the easiest thing to do at first. The software is pretty bad and there's no clear, specific to this monitor instructions coming from MSI on how to do it. I contacted MSI's support trying to get some help and they weren't helpful at all. I ended up figuring the issue out by myself. • Updating the firmware didn't fix the issue • MSI's customer support wasn't helpful I pretty much never review anything, especially with photos or video but I felt I had to let everyone looking to buy this monitor know about the issues you can have with it. At the time being, to be able to use the monitor, I had to set it at 120hz. I have the issue described at 240hz and 360hz. I don't have an option in between 120hz and 240hz. That would require creating a custom resolution. But what's the point of getting a 360hz monitor if to have a "problem free" experience you have to set the refresh rate at 120hz? Once I receive the high bandwidth fiber optic Display Port 2.1 cable I will update this review. I'll try to get one locally as Amazon wait times to my country are ridiculous and the return window for the monitor gets closer with each day that goes by. I will update the review also if I end up returning the monitor to Amazon EDIT (1/5/25) I ended up returning the monitor on 12/30/24 as the issues I described and showed on video in this review persisted and even got worse. I was too scared that the return window would close and I ended up with a $650+ paperweight.
