The Best Keyboard for Mac Users – Smooth, Secure, and Reliable
By Art By Feht on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2025
The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad is an absolute must-have for Mac users, especially those with Apple Silicon. The Touch ID integration makes logging in and authenticating purchases effortless while keeping security top-notch. Typing feels buttery smooth with responsive, low-profile keys, and the full-sized numeric keypad is perfect for anyone who works with numbers. The Bluetooth connection is flawless, and the battery lasts for weeks on a single charge. The black keys give it a sleek, modern aesthetic, and it pairs instantly with my MacBook and Mac Studio. While it's on the pricier side ($199), the quality, security, and seamless Mac integration make it worth every penny. If you need a premium keyboard that enhances productivity and security, this is the one to get!

After Nearly a Year of Use: Great Build Quality but Lacks Typing Comfort
By Chiho on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2024
After using the Magic Keyboard for almost a year, I've decided to give it a 3-star rating. Here’s my detailed review to help potential buyers make an informed decision. Pros: Excellent Build Quality: The Magic Keyboard feels premium, and its build quality is among the best I've experienced. Its sleek design pairs perfectly with my MacBook, making it an ideal choice for those who prioritize aesthetics. Fingerprint Recognition: One of the standout features is the fingerprint sensor. It’s incredibly convenient when used with my MacBook, making unlocking and payments a breeze. Quiet Typing Experience: The keyboard is very quiet while typing, which makes it ideal for use in quiet environments like meetings or shared spaces, without disturbing others. Cons: Short Key Travel, Lacks Typing Feedback: My biggest complaint about the Magic Keyboard is the short key travel. As someone used to mechanical keyboards or keyboards with longer key travel, the typing experience feels a bit lacking and less satisfying. Arm Fatigue with Extended Use: Due to the short key travel, I found that prolonged typing sessions led to some discomfort and arm fatigue. This can be an issue for those who need to type for extended periods. No RGB Backlighting: Coming from a mechanical keyboard with RGB backlighting, I miss the vibrant key backlights, especially when switching between work and gaming. The Magic Keyboard lacks this feature, which makes it less versatile in creating a work or gaming ambiance. Overall: The Magic Keyboard excels in terms of build quality and convenience, particularly with its fingerprint recognition and quiet typing. However, for users who prioritize typing comfort and use their keyboard for long hours, the short key travel and lack of backlighting might be disappointing. Personally, I switch between the Magic Keyboard and a mechanical keyboard depending on the task at hand. It’s a great choice for daily office work or travel, but I prefer other options for longer typing sessions or gaming.
