Great PSU
By Ray on Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2025
I think this is the best PSU for the money. I have a 850 in one rig and a 1200 in a rig with a 5080, since I couldn't get a 5090 and realized I don't want to spend $3k+ on a 5090. So great power supply. Quite. Due to it being modular it's easy to manage cables as you only need the ones you plan to use. Functions as intended, not much to say about that. Great it has a switch for zero noise levels though I never use that function. Heafy in weight but great build quality.

This power supply causes constant crashes and has severe fan speed issues.
By Chris Van Valkenburgh on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2024
This power supply has crashing issues when the GPU is under load. It also has fan speed issues that seem arbitrary and almost unrelated to GPU loading. For example, when playing a game utilizing 99% GPU load, looking at complex geometry, the fan may not even be audible. However, looking at the ground with GPU load dropping to less than 95%, the fan ramps up to maximum speed and is extremely loud. The variable nature of this is actually much worse than a constant loud speed as this power supply can never decide which games, or which moments in which games to ramp up the fan. It is literally constantly going from minimum to maximum and back again. I RMA'd my first unit, used multiple 12V gpu cables to my 4090, used cablemod cables, used both 12V slots on the supply, and nothing would remedy this problem. However the biggest issue is the random crashing. Much like how this unit cannot decide how to use it's fan, it can also not decide which games under which loads to crash. I am one of the few people who bought and played Immortals of Aveum, and this game was an incredible pain to get through because my computer would constantly crash, just straight to black screen, with the GPU fan maxing out during a crash, and requiring me to hold the power button of the computer to get a complete shutoff before powering on again. Then the very next day I play Last of Us Part 1, which also maxes out my GPU load, 10 hours of playtime, no crashing. Look at the other 1 star reviews. You'll see this exact problem repeated in them: black screen crashing with fans maxing during crash. I do not recommend that anyone purchase this gpu, and wish I had gotten a refund earlier as now I am stuck with a paperweight that I am replacing with an MSI MEG AI1300P, by all accounts a similar but hopefully more stable power supply.
